78violet (also known as Aly & AJ) is an American pop rock band consisting of sisters Alyson and Amanda Michalka. They were born in Torrance, CA. They are both singer-songwriters, guitarists, and actors. Their first album is titled 'Into The rush', the second album is titled 'Acoustic Hearts Of Winter' and the third one is titled 'Insomniatic' following the hit single 'Potential Break Up Song'. After departing from Hollywood Records, it was confirmed that the lead single from the new album would be "Hothouse.
